Volunteer, Practicum, Work Study, and Hourly Positions

The Experimental Education Unit is currently accepting interest forms from indviduals who are interested in volunteer experiences, practicum or internship experiences, work study positions, and/or hourly positions (classroom aides) for the academic year. If you are interested please complete the form below and submit it to the front desk at the EEU or email all materials to the assistant principal, Chris Matsumoto (ctm@u.washington.edu).

Service Learning Students (Carlson Center)

The Experimental Education Unit is proud to continue a strong partnership with Service Learning Students through the Carlson Center. The Carlson Center at the University of Washington is committed to engaging undergraduates in understanding, building and improving our communities. We work to expand the scope of education, promote effective public service, and foster a rich cultural and civic life for University of Washington students by creating opportunities for neighborhood and community involvement.

Assistant Teachers

The Assistant Teacher hiring process for the 2008-2009 academic year has been completed. 

Persons are eligible for Assistant Teacher positions at the Experimental Education Unit under one of the following conditions:

  • Current status as a graduate student in the University of Washington (College of Education preferred)
  • Official acceptance to a graduate level program at the University of Washington ( College of Education preferred)

If you are interested in applying for an assistant teacher position, please email the assistant principal, Chris Matsumoto (ctm@u.washington.edu). You will be added to a distribution list so you receive updates on the process and are informed of deadlines.

Head Teachers

The Experimental Education Unit Head Teacher hiring process for the 2008-2009 academic year has been completed.   

Persons are eligible for Head Teacher positions at the Experimental Education Unit under the following conditions:

  • Current Washington State Teaching Certificate by the hiring date
  • Master’s Degree by the date of hire
