To maintain the current level of excellence and to respond to schools' current and growing needs for support in special education, an EEU endowment is essential.  Public funding is not sufficient to enable the EEU to continue providing quality services to children with disabilities.  Nor will public funding enable the EEU to meet the demand for information and technical support to early childhood professionals in the local community and beyond.

Private gifts are vital for the EEU to provide its unique and critical support to children, families, and schools.  The EEU Endowment for Children with Disabilities will ensure that early childhood education continues to improve, by providing consistent funding to recruit and retain the best EEU staff and to sustain and increase effective outreach to Washington schools and beyond.  The EEU Endowment for Children with Disabilities will provide permanent support for EEU teachers and researchers, enabling them to:

  • Design the most effective methods and environments for teaching children with disabilities, and
  • Give early childhood professionals the support and training they need to teach children with disabilities

The EEU invites you to join parents, teachers, and education experts in helping all children receive the best education possible.  Your support for the EEU Endowment for Children with Disabilities will make a profound impact on the lives of children, schools, and families now and in years to come.
